Within the framework of the ‘Greek and Roman Studies Semester in Greece’ of the Univeristy of Victoria, Canada, directed by the Assoc. Prof. Brendan Burke (https://onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca/grsingreece/), there was organized at the Benaki Museum a visit of a group of students, participating in a numismatic seminar.

Αt the amphitheater of the Museum, there was made a presentation of the KIKPE Numismatic Collection to ten students accompanied by Dr Maria Papadaki. The students were given also the opportunity to have a hands-on experience involving a selection of Ancient Greek, Roman Provincial, Byzantine, etc coins.

Certain of the selected highlights of the Collection, incorporated in an overview of matters of numismatic history, were discussed by Prof. Vasiliki Penna (University of the Peloponnese) and Yannis Stoyas (Researcher Curator, KIKPE Numismatic Collection).
