Athens: Academy of Athens, 2012. ISBN 978-960-404-242-5. 291 p.

This is the first volume of the Numismatic Collection of the Social & Cultural Affairs Welfare Foundation (KIKPE) published as a Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum catalogue under the auspices of the Academy of Athens. It is part of the international series Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum (SNG), which was initiated in Great Britain in 1931, and is considered as the most authoritative publication form for ancient Greek coins. The principal feature of the KIKPE Numismatic Collection is that has been focused (from 2001 to 2018) on the acquisition almost exclusively of copper/bronze coins. In the SNG KIKPE Vol. I are included 1,233 ancient Hellenic and Hellenized coins covering a vast geographical area extending from Hispania to Bactria and India, and from the Taurike Chersonesos to Mauretania. The terminus ante quem for the volume at hand is set in the years 27-25 BC; the coins of the Collection dated after this chronological limit are scheduled to be presented in a second SNG volume dealing with Roman Provincial issues and coins of the contemporary kingdoms.
